Rural Resources proudly presents the final installment in the 2013 Food Movie Night series: What's On Your Plate? Join us for dinner and a movie, plus a post-film discussion about how the themes of this movie echo in our own community. Children are encouraged to join us for the film - it's just a little over an hour long and will provide all ages with a lot to think about! Free childcare will be provided for those children too young to sit through the film.
What's On Your Plate? follows Safiyah and Sadie, two 11-year-old girls, as they discover where exactly their food comes from. By talking to everyone from food activists to shopkeepers to farmers, they follow the incredible journey our food takes from soil to fork.
The meal will begin at 5:30 - please RSVP for this portion of the event so we know how many hungry mouths to feed. We will begin the film at 6:30. Those who cannot make it to dinner are welcome to drop by for the film.
